Comparative Study on the Intercultural Sensitivity of Japanese and Korean Nursing Students

Objective: The purpose of this study was to clarify the characteristics Japanese and Korean nursing students’ intercultural sensitivity, which is important when caring for culturally linguistically diverse patients. By investigating sensitivity across different countries with value systems, we may grasp how students can prepare providing competent, highquality care patients backgrounds. Methods: participants were junior senior at universities in Japan Korea. scale (ISS) administered 379 both countries. chi-square test t-test used analyze differences distribution mean scores each country’s students. This approved by a university institutional review board. Results: total number collected questionnaires (ratio) 251 (66.2%), including 144 (90.6%) from 107 (48.6%) With maximum possible score 120, average ISS 78.5 (±8.7) Korea 81.5 (±10.4).
